IREX administers a range of programs between the United States and the countries of Eastern Europe, the New Independent States (NIS), Asia, and the Near East. Our funding offers are aimed at supporting full-time graduate study with intensive research and teaching experiences. In addition the admissions committee draws from the Donald R. Matthews Fellowship in American Politics, the Helen E. Christopherson Fellowship, and the Paul Speyer Scholarship and Fellowship to award additional promising graduate applicants fellowship support.
